Privacy Policy
The short version
EasyPaste doesn't collect your data. What you copy stays on your Mac. There's no account, no analytics and no tracking in the app, and the app makes no network connections.
The EasyPaste app
- Your clipboard history stays on your Mac. Text, links, images, screenshots and other clips are saved in EasyPaste's own folder on your Mac and are never sent anywhere.
- Text recognition happens on your Mac, using Apple's Vision framework.
- No account, analytics, advertising or tracking. The app contains no network code and makes no network connections.
- Passwords are skipped. Items that password managers mark as concealed, and text that looks like an API key, private key or card number, aren't saved.
- Clips from your other devices arrive through Apple's Universal Clipboard, which Apple runs; EasyPaste only saves what appears on your Mac's clipboard.
- You're in control. Delete any clip, clear your whole history, or pause capture at any time. Deleting the app removes its data folder with it.
Buying EasyPaste
From this website: payments are handled by Whop, which processes your payment details under its own privacy policy; we never see your card details. After purchase, our download page records the time, your Whop payment ID and whether the download was allowed, so each purchase can be limited to a fair number of downloads. It doesn't record your IP address or email.
From the Mac App Store: Apple handles the purchase. We don't receive your name, email or payment details from Apple.
The App Store waitlist
If you join the waitlist on this website, we store your email address, the page language and the time you joined, in a private file on our server. We use it for one thing: to email you when EasyPaste is available on the Mac App Store. We don't add you to a newsletter, and we never sell or share the list. To stop sign-up spam, the server counts sign-ups per connection for one hour using a one-way hash, not your IP address. Email support@easypaste.me and we'll delete your address.
This website
easypaste.me has no analytics and sets no cookies of its own. Like any web host, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. The Product Hunt badge on the home page is an image loaded from producthunt.com, which may set its own cookie.
